BECOME A VOLUNTEER
...and help preserve the future of the Historic Polk Theatre
To us, our volunteers truly are the stars of the show. Without them giving their time to help serve our patrons the theatre would not be the same.
Our team of volunteers are a dedicated (and FUN) group of people who assist the Theatre in a variety of essential ways that ensure the comfort and safety of our patrons.
Volunteers are the Theatre’s first and most visible contact with the public, welcoming patrons and performing duties that include box office, taking tickets, guiding patrons to their seats and serving concessions.
Volunteers have a free seat and refreshments for any show they help with at the Theatre. Our Stagers are acknowledged in newsletters and playbills and receive service certificates at our annual Volunteer Appreciation Party.
As a nonprofit institution, the Polk Theatre depends on the contributions of our volunteers. Consider sharing your time and talents with us at one of Lakeland’s finest historic treasures and exciting entertainment venues.
Training sessions for prospective new volunteers are held the 3rd Saturday of the month at 10am, and last approximately 1 hour.
For more information or to reserve a spot in the next training session please call the Polk Theatre at (863) 682-7553 or email us below.
