Since 1928, the Polk Theatre has reigned as the jewel of downtown Lakeland, serving as a premier venue for decades of entertainment and community events. Its elegant Renaissance-era Mediterranean-themed decor provides a perfect setting for concerts, comedy, dance, stage productions, graduations, corporate functions or your own personal special occasion. The Theatre auditorium features 1,400 seats on two levels with incredible acoustics and state-of-the-art sound and lighting. The Theatre is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown hotels, restaurants and businesses.

Screenings
Not many people know that the Polk theatre is available to hire for private screenings, not just to companies who can sponsor a film for the public or hold a private screening for their employees or customers, but for individuals too. It's worth noting that in addition to our state of the art digital projection system we also house the only working 35mm projector in Polk County.
