'Don Quixote’ is not about the befuddled knight who fights windmills.  The 'Don Q' is not the main character in the ballet.  It is actually about two Spanish lovers, Kitri and Basilio.  ‘Don Q’ was choreographed by Marius Petipa, a 19th century Frenchman.  Petipa’s main goals for his ballet were remarkable comical scenes, spirited music and a good time for the audience.  Russian Ballet Orlando dancers showcase Petipa’s famous 154 years old classical  ballet, restaged by Ukranian Artistic Director, Katerina Fedotova.

‘Don Quixote’ is the story of Kitri, a feisty young woman living in Seville, Spain. Kitri wants to marry Basilio, a poor barber, but her father wants her to wed the foolish but incredibly wealthy Gamache.  The ballet is full of exciting characters, colorful costumes, vibrant dances, and comical scenes that keep you drawn to the stage for the entire duration of the performance .  We welcome everyone to this culturally historical experience that you do not want to miss.  Suitable for all ages.

After the show the company's Principal Dancers, Donors, Board of Directors will gather at a local restaurante for a Private Reception that's walking distance from the theater.  This invitation extends to the exclusive 54 VIP ticket holders to share the evening of celebration together.
