Becoming a Member of the Polk Theatre

The Polk Theatre is one of only three atmospheric theatres remaining in the state of Florida. Cities much larger than ours have seen these beautiful buildings torn down or simply reduced to ruins. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have had the community behind our restoration efforts over the years. Today the Theatre is a testament to those efforts.

We invite you to join us in helping continue to operate and preserve this magnificent Theatre by becoming a member or renewing your membership. As we are a 501(c)(3) not for profit corporation, our membership donation is tax-deductible to the full extent of the law, and you derive a number of other benefits as well.

However, you aren’t the only one to benefit from your membership. Your contribution helps maintain this unique vaudeville/movie palace and keeps its beauty and tradition alive for the present community and future generations.

As with all performing arts centers, ticket sales and rental fees cover less than one-half of our operating costs.  Our commitment to providing affordable ticket prices to a wide variety of programming and community outreach events is possible in part because of the membership dollars we receive.

Backer - $300

  • One private backstage tour of the Theatre guided by the Director for you and your guests

Star - $500

Same as above plus:

  • One gift membership at the Performer level

Producer - $1,000

Same as above plus:

  • Two gift memberships at the Performer level
  • One private wine and cheese reception prior to a regularly scheduled film for up to 20 guests
  • 10% discount off base rental of Theatre
  • Two gold tickets to a show of choice for the Performing Arts Series
